Below are videos of tests using a Kinect from an Xbox360 to create an image mast that will be able to track with the actor. This will allow projection to stay only on the actor’s body and not spill onto the rest of the set. Tests have been done using both Touch Designer and MadMapper, for this production I have decided to use MadMapper as it integrates with both Qlab 3 and Isadora nicely.
Test of Quartz composer file that allows the Microsoft Kinect to bring video into the Macbook Pro
Test projecting on a dress form using the Kinect to create the image mask for the projection
Test projecting or random objects using Madmapper to map video
